Indian cuisine is well established as Britain's most popular food but the quality, presentation and value for money is patchy at best. The concept behind the inception of Tiffinbites was to bring healthy, tasty and high quality, authentic Indian food to the high street, making it readily available to all. From that day Tiffinbites was born; a new concept in urban fast casual dining. The first restaurant was opened in 2003 in Wardour Street, London and was based on the idea of serving busy lunchtime customers with a light but traditional Indian food solution: the tiffin. Tiffinbites has since opened a number of restaurants, concessions and take away units across the UK.
At Tiffinbites we believe the only way to eat Indian cuisine is to eat it the correct way - the way it has been prepared and served for centuries. All our dishes are made using traditional and authentic cooking methods and recipes, hence our use of Tandoor ovens in all our kitchens, just so that you can enjoy freshly baked naan bread daily. We also serve our food just like it would be served if you were eating in India; in traditional Tiffin boxes. Because our cooking is low in fat it means that it's lighter, so our generous, but not excessive, portions make Tiffinbites an ideal and speedy lunch time option whether in one of our restaurants or take-away joints.

In 1943, when Ike Sewell opened a restaurant at the corner of Ohio Street and Wabash Avenue in Chicago, Americans only ever ate pizzas as snacks. Ike figured that if you combined some of Italy's old, authentic recipes with impressive quantities of the finest meats, fresh cheeses, ripe vegetables and flavourful spices, pizza could become a hearty meal. That was the start of an American tradition - the Chicago Deep Dish Pizza. Ike's Original Deep Dish Pizza has been imitated many times, but never quite duplicated.
In the mid-1990s, Uno® broadened its concept to encompass favorite dishes that diners expected from a high-quality, full-service restaurant. To expand the menu and meet increasing customer expectations, Uno completed a multi-million dollar kitchen upgrade in its restaurants, installing sauté stations, grills and fryers, and invested heavily in the training of its front and back of the house staff.
The new Uno Chicago Grill locations are larger and feature a "Chicago warehouse" looks that creates an inviting dining environment.
